Fiancé Visa

This visa is designed for a non-EU national who is engaged to be married to a UK national and for the marriage to take place in the UK. The fiancé visa will allow entry into the UK for 6 months to allow the marriage to take place and for the couple to then submit, in the UK, a spousal visa application. The spousal visa is issued for 2 years. The visa is unable to work in the UK while on the fiancé visa but once the spousal visa is granted he/she can work unrestrictedly in the UK. Ask a question

Spousal Visa

This visa applies if you are a non-EU national and you are married to or in civil partnership with a UK National. If you, as a couple, want to settle in the UK you need to apply under this visa category. The visa will allow you to settle in the UK with your spouse/partner and is initially issued for a period of 2 years during which you can work unrestrictedly. Ask a question

Unmarried Partner Visa

If you are a non-EU national and you are living with your UK partner in a relationship akin to a marriage for a period of 2 years or longer, you are able to apply under the Unmarried Partner Visa. Dependents of a visa holder in the long stay category

Most visa categories allow for the main visa holder to take his/her family with to the UK. This can be a Tier 1 Highly Skilled visa holder, a Tier 2 General Work Permit holder, an Ancestral Visa holder or even a student visa holder to name a few. For these dependents (spouse, partner or children) to join the main visa holder in the UK they apply for a dependency visas. EEA Family Visa (European Economical Area)

This visa applies if you are a non-EU national and you are married to or in civil partnership with an EU National other than UK national i.e. French or Dutch national. If you, as a couple, want to settle in the UK you need to apply under the EEA Family visa category. The visa will allow you to settle in the UK with your EU spouse/partner and is issued for a period of 5 years during which you can work unrestrictedly. Ask a question

Ancestral Visa

Commonwealth nationals older than 18 years of age and whose grand parent was born in the UK, can apply to go to the UK to settle there under the Ancestral Visa rules provided that they intend to work and settle in the UK.
