South African nationals are required to apply for a tourist / visitors visa prior to travelling to the UK. The main categories include:

General Tourist Visitor

A General visitor is travelling to the UK as a tourist for a holiday or to visit family and friends there. This visa is issued for a 6 months, 2 years, 5 years or 10 year period.
